How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Guide the patient journey by coordinating complex case management and discharge planning with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal recovery.
• Advocate for appropriate care delivery by performing clinical reviews to ensure all admissions and services align with medical necessity and high-quality care standards.
• Support the financial health of the care team by resolving challenges related to documentation, reimbursement, and claim appeals to prevent delays in patient services.
• Ensure organizational integrity by leading the compliance effort for federal and third-party regulations, protecting both the patient’s coverage and the facility’s standing.
  
  

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  
  

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
  
  

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

To ensure success in this highly regulated environment, the following are non-negotiable requirements:

• Professional Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical license.
• Specialized Expertise: Proven experience in Utilization Management, Case Management, or Clinical Documentation Improvement within a healthcare setting.
