Stamford Health is looking for a fulltime Non-Invasive RN for the Cardiology team!

This position is fulltime Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, with a rotating day off. Department is not operational on weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

The Non-invasive Cardiology Nurse will assist the Department in providing high quality care to non-invasive, cardiac testing patients. Plan and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. The Non-invasive Cardiology Nurse will be proficient in monitoring and patient assessment and Pre/Intra/Post care particular to the patients in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department and be competent in the management of patients undergoing Cardioversion, Trans Esophageal ECHO, and all types of Stress Testing. The Non-Invasive RN will coordinate the schedule with cardiology, anesthesia and the various specialties for both the inpatient and outpatient population. In addition, he/she will provide support to non-RN personnel.

Qualifications

  • Current Connecticut RN License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
  • 2 years of Inpatient Cardiology experience required.
  • Knowledge of nursing theories, practices and standards of care, as well as overall knowledge with the basic principles, purposes and protocols related to cardiology.
  • Proficient in rhythm strip interpretation and arrhythmia detection and intervene in emergency situations.
